27 Nov An Untimely End. Posted at 22:30h in Poetry by flingthe 0 Comments The biggest bang began the raceOf still-expanding time and spaceWhich entropy may bring an endThe sun long ceased to be a friend. Unique that time is tolled by manWith clocks and dates and slipping sandGrown less distinct the now and pastAnd what remains comes on so fast. Of eons past and more to comeThe time and space continuumSlights our infinitesimal stayWe rage against the shrinking day. Now as I lie in my last bedAnd disbelieve I’ll nigh be deadWith not a yaw or tack to stallThere is so much not tried at all. The constant void soft calls to meThough will I might, I cannot fleeAnd Time, with all that time to spendJust hustles on around the bend. Copyright Paul Heno 2014
